Development Opportunity Planning consent was granted in 2008, and renewed in February 2012, for the extension and refurbishment of the disused mill building to create three self-contained office units with associated car parking and landscaping. The proposed development was to be laid out over three floors, with ample off road parking and an excellent village location. Older planning history highlights the range of potential uses for the site, subject to the usual necessary planning consents. The existing building extends to approximately 4,750 ft2 (442 m2) G.I.A over two floors. The total site extends to around 0.28 acre (1110 m2) and is adjoined to the north by a tree belt and agricultural fields. To the southern boundary runs the River Beane and beyond which the main village of Watton-at-Stone.
