With a population of over 61,000 Wrexham is the largest town in the north of Wales and the fourth largest urban area in Wales. Nestled in between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley, the town has long been an administrative, commercial, retail and educational centre for the region.

The town has four railway stations, of which Wrexham General forms the main link to the rest of the country, with lines to destinations like Chester and Shropshire. Wrexham is also serviced by a number of main roads, including the A483 which has connections to the M53 and M54.
Recent history has seen Wrexham’s economy shift away from heavy industry to become home to a range of high tech manufacturing, bio-technology, finance and professional services companies. As well as this diverse range of specialist industries, the town also has the largest retail sector in North Wales.
