The origins of Sanquhar Post Office date back to 1712. It is Grade II Listed and is recognised by the Universal Postal Union (the governing body for Postal Administrations around the globe) and the Guinness Book of  Records, as the Oldest Post Office in the World.  Today it offers many more services than just Post and Mail and is operated by our vendors who are only the 15th Postmasters in over 300 years!
